Lanier Decent Striper Bite

Capt. Scott Collins
March 1, 2009
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lake Lanier, has been very good on some days and very tough on others. Not much has changed with the pattern. Look in the back of certain creeks, and points. Both the North end and the South end are still producing fish. There is still a good casting bite when these fish are rolling. Fish flat lines early near drop offs for success in the morning. Herring, small shiners, and trout are still the ticket. The good news is when the fish start feeding, the fish we have put in the boat are big. Cstching them on spinning gear is always fun. Striper fishing will improve with the coming and going of March. I still have some open dates in March.
