Striper Bite Back On

Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

The Stripers have started to bite again, after a tough couple weeks. There is still little consistency in the pattern. However, my strategy has been pulling flat lines to cover water until you mark them. Then drop down on top of them with down lines. Fishing has been the best in the mouths of creeks. The schools of fish I have been finding are not as large as they were a month ago, but its nice to encounter feeding fish again. Always have a top-water handy, because the fish are still surfacing at certain points through out the day. Down lines, and flat lines are producing 50,50 right now.
Bass Fishing has still been very good these last few days. I have been finding huge schools of spots. When they are frenzied up on the surface toss a zoom fluke to them, and when they go back down drop shot a Berkly gulp plastic in front of them. The fall bite is here. I still have a few open dates in November.
