Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

The summertime down-line striper fishing bite is here. Downlined bluebacks fished 20 to 30 feet deep over a 25-60 foot bottom, on and just off points are working well. We are seeing great numbers of 10 to 20 pound fish with a few bigger ones mixed in. We are also catching some big spotted bass, catfish, and walleyes while live baiting for stripers.

Over the next 3 months, you can expect some of the best striper fishing of the year. Mornings and afternoons have both been great and this will continue most days thru September.
