Good Striper Fishing on Lanier

Capt. Scott Collins
May 26, 2010
Lake Lanier - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lanier is good right now. Fish can be caught along mid-lake and north-end points. The Flat line bite is still the best bet early in the morning, when the sun gets over head switch to down lines. We are still seeing Stripers hit red fins here and there but it seems like the top-water bite is slowing down. With the coming weeks look for the fishing to really heat up as the fish move off the points and start to school up in large groups over main creek and river channels. Spotted bass fishing has been good on spooks, flukes, and other reaction baits.
