Lake Oconee - Freshwater Fishing Report

The crappie have gone wild on Lake Oconee and we have been right in the middle of them. They have knocked rods down, pulled drags and made this one of the most memorable crappie seasons we have had in a long time.
Yesterday just in an afternoon trip my customer caught 14 and there wasn't a fish any smaller than 2 pounds. We had one that almost tipped the Boga Grip at 3 POUNDS! It should only get better as we get into March and the big moons begin to show up.
Black, blue, chartreuse and the Sexy Red Bug seems to be the colors they are going after! Spider Rigging is definately the way you want to attack them because of the shallow water we are fishing in. You will find the fish up the Apalachee River, Lick Creek and Sugar Creek and it seems like early morning and late afternoon are the best bites.
Also after less than a week of being operational, Access Oconee is picking up alot of customers. It is a subscriptions service that provides up to the minute fishing reports, water movement and hot spots sent directly to your cell phone by text messaging and through your email. I send GPS coordinates, Google Maps, and most of the customer get a minimum of 2 text messages a day. When I am on the water you no longer have to call me, I contact you, about where the fish are and what they are biting. It is the perfect tool for the weekend angler! Check it out at my website at www.fishingoconee.com.
If you want to get in these wild crappie give me a call. I have a few dates still available
