Lake Oconee - Freshwater Fishing Report

I know it sounds like I think I am The Rock from WWF, but it is very exciting to see the fishing start to pick up on Oconee. Since it is such a shallow lake, the water heats up and stays warm for a long time. It takes many cool, even cold days, for the lake to get right again.

It all starts off with crappie fishing, and right now the fishing is getting really good on the lake. Night fishing guys are catching a lot of good fish, and the day trollers arent doing bad either. Every day we get closer to that magic time when the rods will be bending under the boat with 2 1/2 pound fish.

I am booking up very quickly and if you are interested in going, give me a call or shoot me an email. This is going to be a great year on Oconee
