Fall Trout Bite

Capt. Jeff Stokes
December 21, 2009
St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fall trout bite is still going strong on St. Simons Island GA. This is the first day I have been out in two weeks due to the weather and the water is still really fresh from all of the rain but man the fish were hungry today. I took a quart of live shrimp today and it was every cast we were bringing in 15-17 inch trout. In a little over an hour and a half we had 30-35 trout they were hitting everything you could throw at them.

Target Species:

Trout

I have been fishing St. Simons Island,GA for over 15yrs. I am a full time fire fighter and charter fish on my off days. I love to fish for trout, red fish and trippletail. I have a 22ft Pathfinder center console bay boat with all the newest equipment.
