Fishing St Simons Island in July

Capt. Jeff Stokes
July 25, 2010
St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been great all month long lots of trout and reds on the flats and in the rivers. There have been a lot of smaller fish in the shallow waters and the bigger fish have been hanging out in water ranging for 7ft to 10ft mostly good steep banks. Most of the fish have been caught with live shrimp under a popping cork and also some have also been hitting gulp jerk baits and gulp greenies. It has been a great summer so far and the fall is sure to be a good one.

Target Species:

Trout and Reds
