Mixed bag of fish in the Golden Isles

Capt. Jeff Stokes
March 15, 2012
St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

We fished for about 2 hrs this morning at the bottom of the tide. We started out in 1-2 ft of water chasing a school of redfish catching them on gulp jerk baits on a weedless weighted hook and then moved to a little deeper water where we had some trout flounder and a few more reds. The trout and flounder were caught on live shrimp under a popping cork using a light tackle spinning rod. All together we ha 10 redfish, 8 trout and 7 flounder. The water is still a little muddy but the fish dont seem to mind and the weather is amazing.

Target Species:

Trout, Redfish and Flounder
