St Simons Island Fishing

St. Simons Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Another beautiful day on the water. Today I had 4 guys on the boat from Ohio who wanted to stay inshore and fish for trout and redfish. Tides were still really high so the water quality was horrible in the St. Simons sound so we fished the grass on the south end of the sound and a couple spots on the west end of the county where we found some clean water. After fishing inshore for 2 hours without a bite we decided to run offshore a little ways since the ocean was like a lake. Once offshore we found some nice sea bass my anglers did a great job and were catching fish every time they dropped the baits down to the bottom.
Fishing is only going to get better from here the water temperature is now in the 60s and rising. Once this dirty water is out of here we should have some happy trout and hopefully the triple tail will be here the end of the month.
