Kona Fishing News -July 2014

Capt. Dale Leverone
July 20, 2014
Kona - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing is hot in Kona right now, just in time for tournament season. Many small blues are being tagged and released on a regular basis for tournament points. Kona Fishing tournaments continue pretty much back to back thru the annual Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament next month.
One marlin that did not get tagged last week was caught by a first time Kona angler aboard the Sea Strike. The angler took advantage of a full day fishing trip with Captain Dale Leverone while he and his wife were here on their honeymoon. He caught his first marlin, weighing in at 176 pounds. Congratulations!

Target Species:

pacific blue marlin

With over 25 years experience of Kona fishing, owner & operator Capt. Dale Leverone offers charters and specialized fishing trips for big game or unique species. Jigging at 80 fathoms will land highly prized snapper, kahala, ulua and other varieties. Night-time fishing for broadbill swordfish offers a rare chance at this elusive predator. Whatever sport fishing you desire, Sea Strike and crew can fulfill your Kona fishing charter dreams.
