Capt. Randall Shaw
December 23, 2013
Delacroix - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing Has been Great in Delacroix the last few weeks! We have been catching alot of trout but we had a great group of guys down Saturday that wanted to catch Reds. We left out of Serigne Marina with the wind howling and the boat loaded with bait headed to a pond that has been hold alot of beautiful fish. Took about 20 mins to get them going but when they did it was 2 and 3 on at a time ranging from 18 inch to 12 lbs. Great Eating! The Reds were caught on corks with dead bait and 3 in shads in 3 ft of water on the edge of the grass lines. The trout have been caught off of Oak River from Orange Bayou to Twin Pipe Lines on the bottom with live bait Carolina rigged or 3/8 jig heads with matrix shads.
