Boston Harbor - Saltwater Fishing Report

Saturday, May 8, 2010
The fish are here not only in numbers, but in size. I was on the water last evening with Andy Henderson and his friend Doug. It was the first charter of the season and what a trip it was. We able were to get into a school of fish within the first hour on the water and we stayed on them until sunset. Each fish we brought to the boat seemed to be a copy of each other in the 26"-32" range.
Andy and Doug were getting the fish on rubber shad and a variety slug-gos. Andy had the magic touch with a 7" Slug-go in a new color. Each cast seemed to bring a nice fish to the surface to smash the slug-go. We found that as we saw the fish hit it once but miss, stopping the retrieve and giving it one twitch would bring a tremendous strike.
I hope that this fishing action continues. I will be on the water as much as I can over the next few days. Call today to book your charter.
Tight lines,
Captain Webb
