Stellwagen Bank - Saltwater Fishing Report

You've been hereby notified---there's a shark out there with my hook in it's mouth and I want it back. Badly. For the next couple of weeks, or until my addiction goes away (read: we catch that fish), I want to shark fish at every opportunity. I'm sick right now. I don't know how to think. I'm mentally tapped. In the past three days, we've lost two amazing fish. We didn't see the first, on Thursday, and we saw, smelt, and felt the one today. I spoke with my friend who caught the largest MAKO in Massachusetts history and asked him how long his fish was. Ours was longer. I'm sick. We lost it after 40 minutes when it's tail wrapped our leader and snapped us off. His fish was 1,328 pounds. I won't sleep for days.
What else can I do? I'll post a video tonight when I get it from my customer. I think that the video shows the whole size of the fish. It looked good on a 2" screen, but on the large screen..... I'm sick. It was a fish of a lifetime. I'll be back out there fishing for it.
Oh, yeah, 13 year old Ryan hooked and landed a great 200# blue shark to start the day and his Dad hooked and landed a 400# blue shark later. Great fish. Uncle Joe fought the big guy. Sorry to all for the cursing! I get excited--it was the most amazing thing that I've ever seen. What a day.
See you all out there and don't follow me. Capt. Rich Antonino, Black Rose Fishing Charters, hereby focusing on my white whale. 508-269-1882. Available days::: Wednesday, Sunday, Tuesday coming up. Yes, I want to take you shark fishing. Let's go. Call in sick.
