Fishing Report - Massachusetts Bay and Cape Cod

Capt. Rich Antonino

Stellwagen Bank - Saltwater Fishing Report

Still fishing for porgy(scup) in Buzzards Bay. Add some sea bass and fluke and it's a great day!

Great time fishing in Buzzards Bay! We had a blast--strange weather. It was nice in the am for a while, then the wind started cranking, then it died down 100%, then it whooped it up horrible in the early afternoon. No rain, but terrible winds.

We were still able to hit the fluke in the am, then hit some scup, then we found some nice sea bass and bluefish. We ended up anchoring and having some fun action on more sea bass to end the day. Lots of fun fishing with repeat customers from NH. We love having days like this!

With the wind blowing from the N for the week, think Buzzards Bay and we'll be able to get out there for the last of the good scup (porgy) run. Good-sized fish and plenty of them!!!

We're the small charter specialists for private 1-4 person groups and shared charters. We fish where the fish are--cod/haddock on Stellwagen Bank, huge sea bass in Buzzards Bay, bluefin tuna on Stellwagen Bank, sharks off of Martha's Vineyard and Wildcat Knoll, Stripers off of Provincetown. We have a great website; visit us often and meet us as friends. We have lots of fun out there and cater to both the novice and veteran alike. Our rates are great and you don't have to get 6 people!!
