Cabo Fishing Report, May 25
Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, and Dorado!! Not much more to ask for even if you are a greedy son of a gun!! Fishing is as good as it gets right now. The fish have moved back in close making for short runs to blue water in the sea of cortez and producing two or three billfish per charter as well as a handful of cooler fish to boot.
From the Herradura to the Gordo Banks bait supplies and water temps are favorable and the Striped Marlin are all over the surface free jumping and eating cast baits, as mch fun to watch as it is being on the stick. The Dorado numbers are lower than I like and are lower than most of us expected, the good news is that we sent two charters north and are seeing heavy numbers of Dorado south of Barriles. The bait is still holding there as well and the striped Marlin don't venture that far north in great numbers, this leaves them with little to no competition for food. What is left to be seen is if they will hold there, I think they will move back down as the water warms up on the Pacific. As always we will keep you posted.
