THE FISH IN THE BLUE JACKET HAS ARRIVED !!!

It was just a matter of time before the Blue Marlin made their way to the underwater mountains surrounding the Baja peninsula. With water temps in the low 80's and deep blue in color we knew it wasn't going to be long before the flat lines starting ripping line to the horizon…..and this was the week that it happened.

June 23rd. was the start of a string of Blue Marlin battles. Mr. Turchurnand his family spent the day aboard "SALSA" our great 35' Cabo Express with Captain Juan Carlos "Brincos" Lopez at the helm and deckhand Hugo working the cockpit. About an hour into the charter the nice Blue Marlin estimated at 400 lbs. + came into the pattern and after some coaxing ate the port side flat line and the fight was on.
The fish came to the boat pretty quick but was way to green to be billed so the drag was loosened to let the fish tire itself out before another attempt was made to release the fish. In the interim the fish put on a great show greyhounding and jumping around the boat. After an hour and a half struggle the fish was released to fight again.

Not to be outdone, our world class fishing platform, "Picante 45", a beautiful 45' Cabo Express with Captain Emilio Arenas at the controls and first mate Pedro working the cockpit escorted Mr. Sherman and his family on a fishing trip the will not forget. Before lunch they released 2 Blue Marlin. Both were in the 225 lb. range and put up a great fight. First Blue Marlin for both anglers….they won't admit if they got any help from the other folks aboard. In addition they boated 5 Yellowfin Tuna to 40 lbs. A day to be remembered for sure on this June 24th. 2010.

With a string of days where our boats caught Blue Marlin, June 25th. Was not to disappoint. Another Blue Marlin was caught on "SALSA" for Mr. Hagedorn and his friends. However, "SALSA" was not boat of the day as our 32' Cabo Express with Captain Antonio "Nino" Romero fishing in the 13th. annual Stars and Stripes Tournament released 4 Striped Marlin for Mark Rowan and his friends. We had 3 boats fishing the tournament and all 3 placed at the top of several divisions.
Congrats to the crews of "Picante 45", "Picante Express" and "Cisco" for making us proud during this 2 day event.

June 27th. was also a productive day for the crew on "SALSA" with Mr. Kittey and his friends spending their Sunday plying the waters surrounding the Baja peninsula. They also released a Striped Marlin and boated 5 Yellowfin Tuna to be enjoyed by all at dinner.
