Bay St. Louis - Saltwater Fishing Report
Got to fish with the Garcia boys yesterday. Garrett, Chase and their buddy Emilio let me run their 24 Glasstream. Very nice boat with all the bells whistles, I felt like Julia Roberts in the movie Pretty Woman. On with the fishing report....
Once again had to move due to the changing wind direction and dirty water. Did find what we were looking for late in the day. In between we did catch white trout, ground mullet and one of the larger black drum I have seen in a while. The trout were over grass beds feeding on bay chovies. Had to use the popping corks to keep from getting stuck. Broke off one big bull and landed another. They cleanded their own fish so I would guess around 15 keeper specks. Had to wait for the water to rise to even to get to some spots but everything looks good for a great Spring. The boys with Marsh Works Tackle helped us restock with the shrimp baits we have been using. Happy Easter if I don't get a chance to post between now and then.
