Bay St. Louis - Saltwater Fishing Report

I hope everyone took advantage of the great weather we had at the end of last week. The day could not have been any better. Calm, clean waters, sun shining, and the gnats biting! I had the pleasure of taking Mr. Richards, Chandler, and Gramps on the best day 2010. We had a great start with Chandler hooking a nice slot on his first cast. Having never hooked a red, the young Chandler was taken by surprise and did not get the hook set. "I was not expecting that fish tobe that big," Chandler said. It was not long before he had another fish on and a smile on his face. This was Chandlers first redfishing experience and one he will always remeber.
We did manage to catch 21 reds keeping their limit and releasing the rest. At the end of the day we tried for trout to find a school of small fish. It was fun catching, but most went back in the water. The final count was 21 redfish, 4 speckled trout, and 1 lucky black drum.
