Gulfport - Saltwater Fishing Report
Beautiful day on the water yesterday, windy but beautiful. The speckle trout bite is a very early AM bite on the Katrina Reef. Trolling around the reef until you locate the fish is the best method. But if you don't have the luxury of a trolling motor, you can just anchor up and wait them out. Trust me they will appear, most in the 15-18" range.
The white trout and ground mullet aren't as thick as they were but they are as plentiful as ever at just about any location you chose to fish. The flounder are moving in and a few super hot spots will be lighting up in the next few weeks. The reds are scattered in Back Bay but you can still pick up one or two. Black Drum are still stacked up at the bridge as well as Sheepshead.
Gas is going through the roof. It has never been more economical to take a Charter as it is today. Fuel, Bait, Ice, Tackle, and License all paid for just one single price. Give us a call or drop us an E-Mail so we can plan the particulars of your next trip.
