Things are ramping up!

Capt. Charles Damiens

Gulfport - Saltwater Fishing Report

With this warmer weather pattern we have been experiencing, I can't help but feel the ramping up of the full on spring pattern. I've already seen a few bass in my back canal on bed and can't help but think "Man this is way too early". But most times they know better than we do.

The Trout can now be found just up to the edge of the outside waters as though they are starting to move to the higher salinity water, don't get me wrong, let a cold front move through and they head to deep water. It is just deep water holes near the outlets to the outside.

The Reds are definitely on the move with very predictable movements. Flats in the evenings and deeper edges in the AM and PM. If you can find moving baitfish on that ideal flat with deep edges on the nearby banks, you can chase Reds all day sight fishing and cast and blast!

Now is the time too book for the upcoming spring. It will be on us before you know it! Give us a call and let us book your next fishing adventure!
