Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS continues to catch a diverse array of fish including: Florida pompano, Gulf Kingfish aka "whiting", big flounders, redfish, black drum, speckled trout, sand sea trout aka "white trout", and southern kingfish aka "ground mullet".

The barrier islands has been very good due to the Florida pompano and big fat whiting running the crystal clear beaches, and on light spinning tackle these two delicious species are a blast.

Big flounders have been on the agenda too, and my clients have produced some fine specimens in the 18 to 22-inch class. Very fine flounders indeed! Been adding some redfish to the mix at times, and of course the white trout are there for the taking using either bottom or cork rigs. It's all fun!

By the way, the new 224 BlackJack powered by the new SHO 250hp 4-stroke Yamaha has been a dream come true. This state of the boat is loaded, and my clients really like the shade of a t-top, more room, more speed to the fishing grounds, as well as more dry storage.

Sorry I haven't been posting, but I sure have been busy as usual. The fishing here in south Mississippi will only get better as the summer rolls along, so hop aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS now for you fun-filled light tackle fishing out of Biloxi, D'Iberville, Gulfport, and Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

If I haven't see you in a while book a trip now, check out the new boat, and let's catch a mess of fish.

Mississippi Sound Fishing Forecast:

Look for the Florda pompano and whiting bite to continue in the surf of the barrier islands. White trout are still lurking on the inshore reefs. Big flounders and redfish are prowling the bridges, rock jetties, and piers. Black drum are in the bays too, and a cracked crab will lure these big fish into a bite.Speckled trout are moving about the lower bays, barrier islands grass beds, and nearshore wrecks. Bottom line it's time to fish while the getting is good. Like I always say, "Life is short...let's fish!".
Target Species:

Florida pompano, redfish, flounders whiting, white trout, black drum, speckled trout, southern kingfish, ladyfish, and sharks
