Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Lately the inshore fishing for white trout has been on fire.

For example, today my clients were Mitch Mine, his wife Joyce, their daughter Jessica, and her boy friend Matthew Dickerson, and within a span of 2 hours they easily boated 100 white trout.

Ran back into the bay, and they finished off the day with 3 nice black drum.

On Saturday, Barry Cottrell and friends easily boated 70 nice white trout, and then a quick run to the barrier islands led to all of the ladyfish, bluefish, and hardtails they cared to battle.

However, they did manage to box 2 beautiful Florida pompano out of the frenzy of fish.

Back on Thursday, Don Thomason, Michael Mezick, and Brandon Anderson caught 10 nice Florida pompano too, along with a couple of big specimens.
They got a blast out of all of the big ladyfish, and the water and sea life at the isles has been breath taking.
Bottom line, fishing is still going strong, and if you want to catch a big mess of excellent frying fish, well, come on down and wear out the white trout.
Better yet, bring the kids and they'll love the fast paced light tackle fishing.
Got more trips coming up, and will report back soon.
