Biloxi Mississippi Fishing On Fire!

Capt. Robert L. Brodie
August 4, 2010
Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS Still Hauling Them In!

Well, I finally made it back to CyberAngler, and sorry for the delay. However, I've been running practically every day, and the fishing has been quite good.

It took every ounce of energy just to keep up with my web site, and I was running behind on it too. Finally got a couple of days off to give my body some rest, and to get the boat and tackle back into prime fishing form.

Fishing every day really takes a toll, even on the finest of tackle. To many trips to go into detail, but the catches have include a wide variety of fish. However, the pictures will say it all!

You name it, speckled trout, redfish, flounders, white trout, ground mullet, croakers, black drum, and oodles of small sharks have been keeping the anglers aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS on their toes.

Many repeat clients, but some newcomers too, of which they've already booked again for this month.

One thing for sure the white trout reefs are on fire, especially out in the Mississippi Sound, and these are of the hefty "yellow-mouth" variety.

Put 108 in the boat in an hour and a half on Sunday, then stopped off on the way in and topped off the ice chest with 12 nice black drum, and released a 30-pound specimen too.

Nice black drum and redfish are still prowling the bridges too, and generally try to fish for them in the shade when possible.

Adding a few flounders and specks to the mix, and the barrier islands are loaded with pompano from a report I just received. Once the south side of the isle's open up we'll be after those silver beauties full speed ahead.

Oh yeah, the sow specks and big Spanish mackerel will be out there for the taking too, so be patient because there is plenty of fishing to do out there before the summer is over.

Bottom line, it's been business as usual despite the oil spill, and the fish-filled Back Bay of Biloxi has delivered fine catches consistently through day one of the oil spill. Like I said all along "You have to keep the faith!"

I am rested up a bit now so let's fish my friends!

Regards and many thanks,
