Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

LET'S CATCH SOME POMPANO!!!!!!
Well folks they are here! Got some good reports of Florida pompano showing up at the barrier islands, and they are good size fish.

A nice catch of Florida pompano aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Didn't start fishing them until mid June last season, but will be after them as soon as clients decide to start chasing them. Last season was simply phenominal!

Tremendous 2008 Florida pompano catch aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Looks like the latter part of this week will be good, and I am booked Saturday with hopes of catching some of those fine eating and hard fighting fish.

Florida pompano are beautiful, tremendous fighters, and excellent eating.
Lately, been having to fish in extremely windy conditions and muddy water with catches of white trout, ground mullet, sheepshead, and black drum taking up the slack.
For those of you wanting to book a barrier island trip, well, it's time to head out to those gorgeous isles.
As soon as the winds settles let's get after the pomps, reds, white trout, and specks. Hey, I am ready when you are!
White trout and ground mullet are on all of the reefs, and that's great light tackle fun. We catch them on bottom rigs as well as popping cork rigs.
Tripletail are in too, so catching one of these amazing fish may be a bonus on any outing!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie
