Capt. Robert L. Brodie
May 22, 2009
Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

To Rough To Fish...Don't Bet On It!

With the winds whipping out of the easterly direction, well, it was time to tuck up in the lee and catch some fish.

And catch fish is exactly what my clients did...one after the other!

Merely 5 minutes from the boat launch my clients Dr Sammy Rose, his son Samuel, as well as Tray Roberson were relling in white trout and ground mullet one after the other.

What great light tackle fun, and the winds and overcast skies made for a great morning on the water.

The first stop was immediate fish catching action, and we eventually left that site, only to find some bigger fish, and our second stop produce much bigger tasty bottom dwellers.

When the fishing was over the guys boated 90 beautiful white trout and ground mullet, as well as a flounder. Got back in early, and at the D'Iberville Marina, Dr. Rose scaled, and I filleted and deboned the big box of fish.

We knocked them out under 40 minutes, packaged and all. This group was a great bunch to fish with, pleasant and witty, and they just had a blast.

Folks, the days are booking up fast, so be sure to schedule your trip aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS as soon as possible. It's shaping up to be another great summer of light tackle fish catching fun.

By the way, the Florida pompano should be getting thick soon, so be sure to get in on this action aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
