Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ran a couple of short trips this weekend, and despite the winds, and threating weather managed to hang in close and catch a mess of fish.
On Saturday, Kay Murry and John stepped aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, and they fished hard under a poor inshore bite, but managed to box 17 small black drum, 10 white trout, and oodles of croakers.
On Sunday, well, it was a trip geared around 6-year-old William Baxter, and we found a nice bayou area out of the wind where young William enjoyed reeling in a big ground mullet, a fine mess of white trout, a number of them the big "yellow-mouth" variety.
William's morning ended with 27 white trout, 1 ground mullet, and lots of croakers. A fine morning of light tackle fishing for such a wee angler.
The young man fished hard all morning long, and even caught a crab and numerous catfish that kept him excited about his fishing adventure.
With most of next week booked up I'll take tomorrow off, rest, repair and rig tackle, and get ready to hit it again on Tuesday.
Looks like the weather might straighten up a bit this coming week, and hope to give the barrier islands another shot for Florida pompano, redfish, big specks, and hefty white trout.
Until next report keep it safe out there and good fishing!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
