Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

OK folks there is just to much for me to give all of the details. However, the fishing hasn't slowed down a bit for TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS (TBC), and the future looks bright as ever.

I've already made a run to the fish havens near the barrier islands, and on the first visit put over 100 white trout and ground mullet in the box, as well as some small sharks too.

Still catching the hug black drum in the shallows, and (TBC) is one of the finest boats to chase big fish at the barrier island's shallow flats and shoals.

Generally hundreds if not thousands of these big fish can be sight fished in massive schools milling about in the skinny water, and it's easy to toss a bait in front of the big prowling schools.

Hang on....because on 12-pound test spinning tackle it takes a while to land these brutes especially if we have 2 or 3 on at one time. It's a great way to end the day catching such powerful creatures, and make beautiful pictures too.

And yes, the big sheepshead are adding to the line stretching fun too. Been catching plenty at the isles, and yesterday Mike Frisby from TN caught and released over 30 big sheepies.

Mike caught 10 the day before, cleaned those, and a couple of flounders too.

Been catching some nice sheepies in the bay too, and on Monday caught some big one on an afternoon trip with 4 clients.

Matter a fact, two of the men, Sherman Smith and Bill Arment played football for the University of Notre Dame when they won the national championship in 1973.

And yes, Sherman was sporting the championship ring...they beat BAMA for the national title.

Yes there are a few flounders showing up, but in a couple of more weeks we will be making big catches of the flatfish.

Been catching a few redfish at the islands too, and those sharks we caught last week looks to be a good sign that cobia may be showing up soon.
Bottom line, TBC hasn't stopped catching fish at any time, and 2013 looks to be another great year. Many thanks to all, come on down and let's go catching!
