Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Just finished up 3 great light tackle fishing adventures aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, and it was a great bite on Florida pompano that stole the show.

On Friday and Saturday the Joey Lewis group from South Carolina were back aboard Team Brodie Charters, and as usual they filled the chest with all sorts of fish.
Friday they boxed 18 big pompano, as well as 80 white trout, plus lots of ladyfish and bluefish to keep the bite constant.

On Saturday the weather ran us in early, but the guys boxed 7 beautiful pompano, a bull croaker, a large spot, 20 plus white trout, and 20 black drum.
On Sunday I had Noah Vaughn, his dad Julian, and Michael Garrett aboard, and these gentlemen simply hammered the Florida pompano before 11 am.

Once the first bait hit the water the bite was on, and they easily boxed 28 of the finest pompano one could imagine.
Heck, they even added a big gulf kingfish, southern kingfish, a 22-inch redfish, and a mess of black drum to the tally.
Fishing here in south Mississippi is starting to get fired up with fall in the air, and look for more big Florida pompano catches through October.
But if you want to catch some pomps better book a trip soon before they head south.
Of course the sheepshead and black drum will turn on once the weather turns cold, and the speckled trout will move up into our coastal river in good numbers around Thanksgiving.
October will be a great month to fish here in south Mississippi so book your trip aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS now.
Regards and many thanks to all,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
