Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Just finished up 5 days of charter fishing in a row, and my hands ache from all of the daily fish cleaning. But that's a good thing!
On the second day, Friday, October 31, 2008, I guided my frequent client John Noel to a great day of bay fishing. In the Back Bay of Biloxi, John caught 15 black drum, 3 beautiful flounders, and 7 sheepshead.

We were fishing on one of the coldest days of this fall, and the cold snap brought in good numbers of black drum and sheepshead. Needless to say, John had great light tackle fun.
On the third day,Saturday, November 1, 2008, Ed McEwan and Joe Baber had a banner day of bay and barrier island fishing.

This duo landed 6 black drum, 1 flounder, 3 Florida pompano, 1 redfish, 5 speckled trout, and 50 white trout and ground mullet. An excellent introduction to the large variety of fish in our inshore/nearshore waters.

On the fourth day, Sunday, November 2, 2008, Pat and Perry Calhoun fished Biloxi Bay, and the Back Bay of Biloxi. This couple had a great time using live shrimp and popping corks early for trout, and by the end of the morning they boated 30 white trout, 1 nice speckled trout, and 3 black drum.

Here is a responce from the Calhouns, "Brodie, Pat and I had such a wonderful time yesterday! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and professionalism! We're definately going down there and go fishing again! Thanks! Perry and pat Calhoun"
And on Monday, November 3, 2008, guided Dr. Thomas Weldon and his son Thomas Jr. to a fun morning in Biloxi Bay hammering white trout on popping corks, as well as some nice black drum in the Back Bay of Biloxi.

Their final tally included 60 white trout and ground mullet, 1 nice speckled trout, 1 flounder, and 2 black drum. A nice morning catch for not running more tham 5 minutes from the dock.
Well folks, I'll be taking a couple of days off, but will be back in the saddle on November 11th to fish for anything that swims.
So be sure to give me a call, and let's go catch some fish, have fun, and enjoy beautiful south Mississippi.
