Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ran a trip on Tuesday, and my two clients Tracy Sepulavado and Jessie Smith of Texas had a great time of catching a variety of fish.

These gentlemen had never saltwater fished before, and were rewarded with a beautiful morning on the Mississippi Sound.

Started out the morning with the men casting popping corks into massive concentrations of menhaden and finger mullet. Before the wind picked up they managed to land 5 redfish (3 keepers), 4 big speckled trout, and 2 nice flounders.
Once the bite shut down it was a run to the Katrina Reef where they bottom fished, and managed to boat 35 or so white trout and ground mullet.
A decent catch, and it was good to get paying clients back on the beautiful waters of south Mississippi. Fishing remains good, so please don't hesitate to book a trip now.
A few pompano are still roaming the barrier islands, and don't forget, I'll be doing guided ducks hunts too, with an emphasis on targeting trophy redheads.
