Biloxi, MS - Despite Heavy Winds & Muddy Water We Caugh Fish!

Capt. Robert L. Brodie
March 24, 2009
Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Just finished up 3 day of fishing in rough and muddy water, and without the aid of live shrimp.

Tough fishing, you bet, but my clients were persistent, and it paid off for them in the long run.

On Saturday, Ken Lewis, Robin Lewis, Haleigh Lewis, Blake Lewis, and Michael Mahaffey managed to fish hard and put a mess of fish aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.

Their finally tally of boxed fish included: 4 black drum, 1 sheepshead, as well as 60 beautiful white trout.

The white trout bite was hot at the katrina Reef, but it got so rough we had to run back into the Back Bay of Biloxi.

There, the 4 black drum (Ken caught and released one well over 50-pounds on 10-pound-test Yo-Zuri Hybrid line, and a 7-foot St Croix "Triumph" spinning rod), and big sow sheepshead was landed.

In all, another fun trip with wonderful and appreciative people.

On Sunday, Charlie Diss (comeback client), his father-in-law Rick Baker, and his son Tom fished in more tough conditions.

However, they managed to box 50 beautiful white trout and ground mullet, 1 flounder, 1 nice redfish, 1 black drum, and 1 sow sheepshead.

More great people, and hard-core anglers that fished hard to catch a mess of fish on an extremely rough day.

On Monday, Harold Kushnak from Georgia, and Ryan DeVries from Michigan toughed out another rough day with churned up waters.

They wanted a few fish for a fish fry, so it was back to the front of the Beau Rivage Casino where they boxed 30 nice white trout and ground mullet.

They wanted to catch a big fish too, so a run back into the Back Bay of Biloxi delivered some big fish.

There, the men went 3 for 3 on big black drum in the 40 to 50-pound-class, and that simply made their day.

Considering the 3 days of poor fishing conditions, well, all my clients were extremely happy, went home with fish, had a great time, and are already making plans to fish aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS in the future.

And just think, we're only in March, and have a great summer ahead of us for all sorts of fishing adventures aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.

I am booked Saturday and Monday, but Sunday is still open so let's fish!

Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
