Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ron Harrison and his wife Frieda were back again on Friday after having hammered the sheepshead and a few big black drum on Tuesday.

Above: Ron Harrison of Kansas with a big black drum he caught and released in the Back Bay of Biloxi on 10-pound-test.
On this outing the bite was a bit slow, but before the day was over they caught and released a big black drum, 10 or more sheepshead, 5 speckled trout, and all the croakers they cared to reel in.

Ron did get a big black drum on Yo-Zuri Hybrid 10-pound-test, and gave the new St. Croix "Avid Inshore" series rod another test. It passed with flying colors!

Before we know it the spring run of white trout and ground mullet will be upon us, and a fish on every cast is a thing of beauty.

Above Frieda Harrison with a beautiful black drum she landed on light tackle (10-pound-test) while fishing in the Back Bay of Biloxi aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
They might not be big fish, but there are no limits on these delicious species, and on light spinning tackle, well, it's just a lot of fish catching fun.
By mid March they should be arriving in the Mississippi Sound by the millions. And here at TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS we'll be ready to load up on the tasty fish.
Last season literally thousands of white trout and ground mullet were boxed on TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS. So be sure to get your kids in on this amazing inshore action.
Remember...life is short...let's fish!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
