Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today I had John Noel, one of my most regular clients aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.

Generally John fishes with me once or twice a month through out the year, and we've caught practically every thing under the sun.
But we've never really got on a great speckled trout bite, but today we would add an epic speckled trout bite to our list of adventures.

Limiting out on 30 big specks with some in the 6-pound-class, well, you might imagine the fun we had landing these big fish on 10-pound test spinning gear.
Free-lining live shrimp was our ticket to success, and once they inhaled the size 4 4X Strong Gamakatsu Treble Hooks, well, the brutes were hooked for the taking.

Simply put, we had a blast, and by taking our time and enjoying the hard fight of each of these fish we were able to land 95 percent of all fish hooked.
Caught these fish just ahead of an approaching cold front, their stomachs were empty, but they were devouring the live shrimp slowly drifted pass their nose.
Don't know how long these big fish will hang around, but will take anyone willing to give them a try. Just another remarkable day in our big back yard known as South Mississippi.
