Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today my clients were Fred Huff and his son Ethan.

Fished the bay, got a late start, and managed to catch a few fish around structure. There, a slow bite on sheepshead and black drum, as well as 1 speckled trout occured.
With time running out it was a quick run to the Keesler Reef where they quickly boxed 35 nice white trout and ground mullet.
I had to get back in early for CPR recertification, but the guys had fun and went home with a mess of fish.
Final tally: 3 black drum, 2 sheepshead, 1 speckled trout, and 35 white trout and ground mullet.

Fred is sending Ethan and a couple of his friends back for more fishing adventures aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS. It should be fun!
I am booked Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and will report back when I get the chance.
Remember: Sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout" and southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet" are excellent eating, and there are no size or number limits on them.
So if you really want some fast fish catching fun and have a huge fish fry, well, let's head to the reefs for this fast paced fishing. And be sure to bring the kids...they will love it!
