Biloxi, MS - Hot Florida Pompano Bite Ends The Day!

Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today was simply magnificent, clear skies and calm seas. Our first stop was at the Katrina Reef where my comeback clients managed to boat 75 or so white trout and ground mullet.

That was a decent bite, but the tide was at a stand still, thus producing a rather slow bite.

By 9 o'clock we decided to head out to Ship Island and fish the isle's gorgeous shallows for the hard fighting and fine eating Florida pompano.

This was a good call, and my anglers managed to box 9 beautiful specimens, and they got to experience pompano fishing at its best.

As usual the fish fought wildly with plenty of jumps, and they probably landed and released 50 or more big high-leaping ladyfish a.k.a."poor man's tarpon".
In the shallows we saw giant stingrays, thousands of spawning crabs, bat rays, sharks, as well as a small manta ray, a gorgeous creature.
Bottom line, fishing has been great aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, so climb aboard and let's catch some fish. Being professional, polite, and productive is always a part of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
