Biloxi, MS - Merry Christmas & A Very Happy New Year

Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Would like to take a minute of my time to thank all of my clients for the great fishing season they provided TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS in 2008.

The adventures were many, catches were diverse, and the take was plentiful.

From the spring run of white trout and ground mullet where literally thousands of these tasty fish were boated, to the wonderful Louisiana marsh redfish and speckled trout catches, well, it was a blast.

Of course the epic summer of Florida pompano fishing was one to remember for many elated clients, along with the bull reds that patrolled the barrier island too.

And let's not leave out the great fall run of black drum and sheepshead, a fishing bite that's still hot as I write this piece.

Yes, it was a magnificent year of fishing in south Mississippi for TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, and I look forward to another banner season in 2009.

The new 2170 Blazer Bay is an anglers dream, a very diverse fishing machine. With the new Blazer Bay I am able to fish the inshore waters, as well as the barrier islands. All in the same day!

Looking back at my books and photos and seeing all of those anglers with lots of fish and big smiles, well, I am truly blessed to be able to fish with such great people for a living.

So take care everyone, have a safe and happy hoildays, and hope to see all of you again in 2009. God bless!

Regards,
Capt. Robert L. brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS

From now through March look for the black drum and sheepshead to continue delivering an excellent inshore bite.
Speckled trout will continue to be found well up coastal rivers and bayous, and that should continue until spring too.
Of course if it has a tail we'll fish for it so hope aboard for your own fishing adventure.
