Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had a wonderful family group from Texas today, and they throughly enjoyed a big catch of sand sea trout "white trout", southern kingfish "ground mullet" and Florida pompano.

A fine box of white trout, ground mullet, and Florida pompano caught aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Got on the hot spot at the Katrina Reef early, and Casey, Amanda, and their 5-year-old son Ethan got the bite going immediately catching some fine fish one after another.

Fresh squid and live menhaden were the ticket to our success, and they easily boated 140 of the tasty bottom dwellers by 9 am.

With a big early morning catch behind us, a decision was made to make a quick run to Ship Island to fish for Florida pompano in the crystal clear shallows.

It was a good call, and Amanda landed two beautiful specimens, and Casey had a great fight with a fine fish that junped wildly and broke the line. Plenty of excitement none the less with plenty of high-leaping ladyfish too.
Fishing reamains great here in southern Mississippi, so come enjoy this fish catching fun. These pompano are fun to catch, challenging, but a blast never the less.
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
