Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Made a run to the Louisiana marsh yesterday, and managed to box 30 nice speckled trout and a fine redfish. The birds working over schools of speckled trout and white trout were everywhere, however the majority of the fish were on the small side.

Plenty of throwbacks, but a fish on practically every cast. However, a good catch was scratched up, and despite another windy day the sky was sunny and clear.

This area will continue to get better, and will last throughout the summer. Back in our local waters white trout and ground mullet are still running the reefs in the Mississippi Sound, and continue to provide fast fish catching fun.

If the weather would just straighten out we'll be able to catch all sorts of fish, and that includes the amazing tripletail a.k.a. "blackfish" that are now in the Mississippi Sound.
Botom line, calm seas equals great fishing, and that's all we need to continue great fishing in south Mississippi.
Remember...Life is short...let's fish!

Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
