Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS had an epic weekend of light tackle fishing at the barrier islands with anglers Charlie and Amelia Fox. Both days provided world-class light tackle fishing for big bull redfish, and all of the Florida pompano they opted to reel in.

Had to navigate through some pea-soup fog, but once at the isles the water had a beautiful clear green hue, and the bite was immediate and non stop. Yes, practically a pompano or big redfish on every cast.

Heck, they even caught sheepshead and Spanish mackerel, as well as 70 or more white trout and ground mullet in the bay on the way out on each day.

The first trip on Saturday they boxed 31 Florida pompano, 1 speckled trout, 5 sheepshead, 3 bluefish, 3 bull redfish, and 70 white trout and ground mullet. Needless to say the bite at the islands was on fire!

Again on Sunday it was much of the same except the bite was even better. On this day Charlie and Amelia boxed 45 Florida pompano, 5 bull redfish, 2 Spanish mackerel, as well as another 70 plus white trout and ground mullet.
It was another magical weekend of fishing in a beautiful setting with calm seas, clear water, excellent clients, and fish in a feeding frenzy. These are memories you take to your grave!
Remember, TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS is a year-round full-time charter boat service, and always strives to be polite, professional, and productive.
