Deep South Duck Hunting & Fishing...A Great Combo

Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Lately, plenty of my time has been spent guiding duck hunters after diving ducks rather than hauling fish out of Missisippi's waters.

But don't get me wrong, I have been doing both, and enjoy being on the water no matter what the adventure may involve.

Diving duck hunting has been down a bit, but my clients have been off the mark quite a bit too, so that decreases the take.

No matter, the hunting trips have been a lot of fun, and all of my clients have been a joy to hunt with, and will probably hunt with me again before the season closes on January 25, 2009.

Hunting should greatly improve with the latest cold weather pushing through, so please give me a call if you would like a shot at diving ducks, especially a big drake redhead.

Have a fishing trip booked the day after Christmas, and a duck hunting trip the following day, and will report back after those charters.

There is always something to do here in south Mississippi, no matter the season or weather, and being a full time guide an adventure can be set up with a phone call.

By the way, a fishing trip or duck hunt makes for a great Christmas or birthday gift, so keep that in mind too.

Until the next report, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and be sure to keep it safe out there. Good gunning and fishing!
