Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Went on a chumming trip with some guys that wanted to catch some bull reds an sharks. Well these are fairly easy most of the time. Chum an they shall come! We went out to Horn Island bar, the edge of course. Most fish like to run the edge.Catch the bait as it swims across.

Started fairly slow but we did have our limit by 11am, just 4 cause they were all over 30". But we were gone keep chumming fiqured we would release a few, an bout that time I could smell that watermelon smell that you smell when the school close by. An all of a sudden hard to describe but reels went to screaming, of the 8 poles we had out 6 went off, I was just grabbing the line setting the hook. so as one fellow would get one in I'd give him another. It was pretty wild for awhile but we managed.

When the last one came over the side,One gentleman steped up an said its Bud time. boated an released all but 1 caught 13 on the day. We missed our sharks thou. couldn,t get drag loose in time, broke off. Did get couple lil bonnet head thou....
