Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS Continues To Bring Big Catches To The D'Iberville Marina, just north of Biloxi and its casino row.
Last couple of trips have been simply outstanding! Typical of this month's fishing!
Bay fishing has been on fire, and the big catches reflect the fast fishing happening in south Mississippi's waters aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
These 3 half-a-day trips were a lot of fun, and the clients had non stop fish catching on the white trout and black drum. And I mean non stop!

On a windy and rainy morning the comeback Terry Stapleton group simply hammered the white trout and ground mullet, along with 1 drum.
Why only 1 drum, well, they dropped down and instantly caught a nice drum, but we had to head back to the dock after that with a huge storm approaching.
That was fine because they already had 161 white trout and ground mullet in the box. These gentlemen are always a lot of fun, and I'll see them again for sure.

Then a husband and wife from Tennessee stepped aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, and they proceeded to easily put 97 white trout and ground mullet in the box.

From there it was a run back into the Back Bay of Biloxi, and bottom fishing around structure, well, 15 really nice hard-fighting black drum ended the excellent morning of fishing.
Oh, the fish catching didn't stop there! On the third trip noted sports editor from the Memphis Appeal, Bryan Basher, as well as Robert Callaway got in on the hot fishing action too.

Bryan was down to do a feature article on TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, as well as the excellent fishing south Mississippi has to offer.
OK...no pressure there!
I almost ran out to a reef we fished the day before, but my gut instinct told me to try a reef just minutes from the dock.

Well, it paid off, and the fish here were much bigger, and eager to bite cut squit and cut croaker as soon as it hit the bottom.
The guys were simply having the time of their lives, and in short time 109 beautiful white trout and ground mullet were on ice.
Although the bite was on fire, I decided to take them to a traditional black drum hole, and the bite there was outstanding too.
It didn't take long for the men to be bowed up with the hard fighting drum, and they were once again all smiles with drag stripping drum in a hard falling current.
Put 13 quickly in the box, and we were heading out to add a couple of flounders, but the winds came up quickly.
Both Bryan and Robert said their arms ached, and were ready to get back in and relax. That was some fast fish catching and the men were worn out.
Heck, Bryan had a blister on his hand from all of the reeling and hook setting. Hey...no pain no gain baby!
There will be a full page story on Sunday in the Memphis Appeal on the trip, and it looks like Bryan has plenty of good things to write about.
More great people, excellent fishing, and it's all happening in south Mississippi.
Come on down my friends, the fishing is hot in the Deep South!
