Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sorry for being late on reports, but the phone has been ringing off the hook, and all of you good people have been wanting me to take you fishing.

And well, for the last 4 days that's what I've been doing...fishing like a mad man!

There is too much to say here so I'll sum it up.

On a rough day I took Dave Voyer and Sarah Brannon out in fromt of the Beau Rivage Casino, and they had a blast catching 51 white trout and ground mullet, big gafftopsail catfish, oodles of croakers, and landed and released a small sea turtle.

On the following day I took Craig Youngblood and Matt Williams out to the barrier islands, and there the guys landed 1 nice redfish, 1 Florida pompano, 1 beautiful tripletail, 35 big "yellow-mouth" white trout, a few whiting, and some bluefish.

The next trip I took Wendell Griggs, Alan Bailey and his 6 year old son Sterling to the white trout reef. It was rough again so we stayed inside. However, they got into the big white trout late in the trip and proceeded to box 102 of the tasty bottom dwellers.
And on my last trip, a calm and gorgeous day, my clients Ed and Joe boxed 3 beautiful tripletail, 8 Florida pompano, 2 nice redfish, 10 big white trout, 1 black drum, a few whiting, and all of the big ladyfish and bluefish they cared to reel in. One of the calmest days of the year, and the fish were all over the barrier islands.
So come on, what are you waiting for, the fish are out there for the taking. The pompano have showed up, tripletail are in the Mississippi Sound, the reefs are alive with white trout and ground mullet, and many other species are biting.
