What a day on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

After heavy rains and having already cancelled two trips due to heavy winds and rains back in '07 my crew and I finally pulled a trip off !!
With 1.5 inch's of rain and a break in the weather we called it a go. And a very good call at that. With my crew being from the "old school" it did not take much for me to point them in the right direction and show them exactly what to look out for and the Speckled Trout and Redfish started stretching our 12 lb. test lines.
It is always an honor for me to have such wonderful sportsman aboard the IMPULSIVE for Speckled Trout trips. After some good fish stories, tackle tips and friendly tales we ended the day with some nice quality Mississippi Gulf Coast Inshore Light Tackle Speckled Trout and Redfish. All Trout ranged in the 2.5 to 4 lb. range. All caught on soft plastics and a variety of top water baits.
Good fishing to all and if you are ever on the Mississippi Gulf Coast give me a call for a local report and possibly a good fried Crawfish po-boy..
Sincerely,
Captain Scott Simpson
