Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Last Saturday, had the pleasure to guide Jake Keyes (13-years-old), Logan Battaglia (8-years-old) and Conner Battaglia during a recent (CCA) Coastal Conservation Association fishing toutmament.

Conner Battiglia's TOURNAMENT WINNING REDFISH!
What a blast for the kids! They caught redfish, mangrove snapper, croakers, black drum, white trout, ground mullet, and plenty of seacatfish "hardheads".

However, Conner's 18 1/2-inch redfish landed him first, second, and third place in the children's redfish category. Man were they excited about such a winning!

Hey, take a kid fishing, you can't offer a better gift.

On Monday, took my regular client Hugh Robinson back to the Louisiana marsh for more fish catching action. Hugh fished with me last Sunday, and we hammered the specks, white trout, bull reds, and an 8-pound tripletail.

Nice box of speckled trout and white trout!
Today was successful too, and we easily caught a nice mess of speckled trout and white trout from under the birds. Using popping corks and soft-plastic baits the bite was fast and furious, and we left the fish biting at noon.

On this trip Hugh brought his grandsons Davey Robinson and Jimmy Lee, and Jimmy's girlfriend Josie Nunley. Just another great morning in the Louisiana marsh just south of Mississippi's mainland.
Remember, TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS is fully licensed to run trips to the Louisiana marsh out of Mississippi. Always make sure you Mississippi guide has the $1000 guide permit to run such trips. If not, stay away from such characters because the fines can be huge.
What can I say, fishing is great and the weather is finally getting into a summer-like pattern.
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
