Plenty Of Fish -Twenty Redfish Yesterday Afternoon

Capt. Robert L. Brodie
June 22, 2010
Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

STILL NO OIL IN MY FISHING GROUNDS & THE THE INSHORE BITE IS HOT!

Just finished up 4 days in a row, and there were plenty of fish in the Mississippi Sound and the Back Bay of Biloxi for excellent light tackle fun. And by the way, the sound and bay are simply loaded with menhaden and mullet, plenty of food for fish to gorge themselves on.

Friday was comeback client Steve Prince and his girlfriend Cindy, and they easily boxed 50 gorgeous "yellow-mouth" white trout, 6 black drum, 3 speckled trout, and added 3 fine redfish to top off the catch.

Saturday it was Charlie Schudmak and his buddy Bob, and these guys came in with a fine box of fish including: 4 redfish, 9 black drum, 1 flounder, and a couple of white trout. They bypassed the white trout today, and decided to hunt reds and the like.

The Sunday duo were return clients Jay Samander and his son Josh, and these guys hit it big with 70 white trout, a big speck, a fine redfish, 2 black drum, and a big sheepshead. It's a tradition now to bring his kids fishing with Capt. Brodie.

And on Monday, well, it was an afternoon trip that included hauling in 20 redfish, 2 big flounders, 3 speckled trout, and a few white trout. The afternoon storm chased us back into the bay, by right to hordes of hungry redfish.

These three gentlemen from Miami were excellent anglers and quickly boxed their 9 fish 3 man limit of reds, and after that started hauling in bigger fish. To bad they had to be released, but they had great fun.
