Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hey, are you looking for something different, out of the ordinary? Well book a charter with TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS and head out to Mississippi's barrier islands in search of the Florida pompano.

No, you don't here a lot about fishing for this exotic species, but they are there right now for the taking. Generally it's not a numbers game, but when the bite is on a number of fish can be caught.

These silvery speedsters are hard fighters, will jump, sometimes into the boat, and make blazing runs on light tackle. Best of all you're fishing in the gin-clear waters of our barrier isles, and you'll see all sort of other interisting fish in the process.

Today we boated 6 beautiful pompano, 1 big flounder, and 6 legal mangrove snapper, as well as all the ladyfish and bluefish one cares to battle. So, for a try at something different give the Florida pompano a shot.
Bottom line, they are a blast to catch on light tackle, and provide world-class eating when baked up nicely, say basted in butter and lemon juice. Yum...yum!
Remember...life is short...let's fish!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie
