Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Lately we've been fishing the excellent run of sheepshead in the Back Bay of Biloxi.

Live shrimp has been the ticket to success, and the bite quite consistent.

Often called "bay snapper' the white fillets of sheepshead are excellent eating, and on light tackle they are top-notch fighters.

Any yes, I've purchased a new boat, a 2012 224 BlackJack powered by the latest 250 hp 4-stroke Yamaha SHO. The boat sports a power pole, trim tabs, hydraulic jack plate, Yetti ice chest, dual lighted recirculating live wells, drink holders, plenty of dry storage, 27 rod holders (can hold full length 9-foot fly rods too), custom t-top with rod grommets and electronic box, built in ice chest, and 36-volt trolling motor.

More gadgets are coming in due time! The new TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS has an ice blue exterior and pure white interior.
This boat is dry riding and fast so hop aboard and let's fish!
Mississippi Sound Fishing Forecast:

Redfish, black drum, and whiting at the barrier islands. Excellent sight fishing on calm days!
Sheepshead and black drum around the bay's bridges.
If this warm weather continues expect to see an early run of white trout too, and we're eagerly waiting the invasion of these delicious frying fish.
