Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had the extreme pleasure to once again guide DeWitt "Buddy" DeWeese and his good friend Bill Williams on a Louisiana marsh adventure.

Buddy just wanted a good day on the water, and catching fish would be a bonus. Well, these gentlemen got the best of both worlds down in the Cajun land.
Although the water conditions were muddy, these gentlemen fished hard and caught fish all day long under the birds. Plenty of throw back specks, hard fighting gafftopsail catfish, and lots of white trout made for a fun filled day on the water.

Did spot the giant bull reds (sare area as last Sunday), but they elluded us on this outing. However, we roamed the marsh and caught plenty of fish.
Once again our day ended on a high note when Buddy (80-years-old) landed the first tripletail of his life. Now he has finally joined the ranks of a tripletail catcher, and it only took 80-years. Congratulations Buddy!
It seems that out of the last 5 trip we've boated 4 tripletails, and it was a first for all of my clients. Few anglers have ever seen a tripletail, much less caught one, and now these gentlemen can join the elite ranks with one of these amazing fish under their belts.
Yesterdays tripletail a.k.a. "blackfish" came out of the Louisiana marsh area, and finding a fish way down there in muddy water was a good sign. WE BREAK FOR TRIPLETAIL!
Of all the fish we caught 15 nice specks, 35 white trout, and a beautiful 5-pound tripletail entered the ice chest aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS. And for two old friends having fun and enjoying life it was a great day to be on the water, and having fun is what it's all about. Good fishing!
Remember...life is short...let's fish!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
